I am completely new in Meraki technology. I have a customer with a access switch MS and a core switch MS I think is very simple but I don't find the option. Please help. Go to Solution. It does seem pretty obvious - if you configure something to use a VLAN that you configure it if it does not exist. They call this "Merakifying". You are right. On the other hand, is there any menu option where you see the list of VLANs the switch is using?
Or is the only option to check every interface to see what VLANs is associated with? I tend to put the information in the "Notes" section of the core switch. And what if I want the vlans created on core pass over to the MS and then to a non-Meraki switch, assuming that the MS does not have any port assigned in the vlan that I want to pass?

Configure the DHCP server with the new scope. You can set the new scope as authoritative by right clicking and selecting authorize this DHCP server. That is assuming you are using windows server. Thanks, I have been able to get it working now after setting up the IP relay correctly, the computer I connected that port got an IP address in the new range - The only problem I have now is the network type is showing as 'network - public network' and can't access any network resource.
If I connect it to the port next to it is connects fine on the old IP range domain. You were right, it was the firewall preventing DNS from working correctly. The Meraki documentation is not quiet right in the way it describes it if you have ever created any firewall rules.

Can you ping the domain controller and print server? It sounds like ports may not be allowed between VLANs. You could try running an nslookup to the domain controller and network resources from the command prompt to make sure you are getting DNS. What type of resources are you unable to get to? The ports are all trunk at default so you choose the native VLAN and then any or all the rest to be tagged. Ot you make it an access port and select one VLAN for it. What model switch and are you intending to do inter-VLAN routing on it?
There are some additional options for certain models in L3 mode. Yes, but it is not totally clear what you are expecting to happen when you do that. The VLAN needs to also exist throughout the rest of your infrastructure and at some L3 device that will route it. And if it is not obvious you can multi-select as many ports across as many switches as you want and edit them all at the same time.
